Fear

Fear of people is the culprit. 

“I’m afraid to ….

… join the fitness class because I may not be able to keep up. 

… speak up for what’s right because I may be marginalized and disliked. 

… host an event because people may not show up. 

… post a flier because it may not get any likes. 

… go back to school/get certified because I may not perform well on the tests. 

… ask for her number because she may say no.

… say I’m sorry because they may not accept my apology. 

… ask for help because they may think I’m weak. 

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:17
