Ask God

Life works …for our good… in the context of obedience to/love for the things of God. That’s His Word, heart, character, way of thinking …all of it. Our humanity, shortcomings, and mistakes don’t change this. And because we are naturally so in love with who we think we are, pride leads us to believe that God will change His establishment in order to accommodate us. 

Far too often, we set our way, desires, goals, plans …and then ask/tell God to bless it. When in reality, what we’re choosing to do is simply not God’s best. Yet in the moment, it’s what we truly want to we try to force God’s hand to make to work, only to realize it’s end is counterfeit. 

Yet when we yield every aspect of our being to Jesus, life works for our good!
