Experience begets Appreciation

Light is only appreciated when darkness is present. Light always overwhelms darkness. Always. That means, the state of darkness is never final, as light is always available to drive it out. Likewise…sometimes …

We don’t experience or appreciate God’s joy …until sadness knocks on our door.

His peace is not realized until chaos ensues.

True love isn’t experienced …until those we thought loved us, walk away.

We don’t know great gain until we’ve experienced great loss. 

Suffering is not meant to destroy us, but rather bring us to the end of ourselves. It produces perseverance, character, and hope! Romans 5:3-5. It’s a glorious transformation from our way of thinking and doing things, to His way of living!!

Resist the temptation to complain about your current experiences, but remain grateful you finally get to experience the authenticity and fullness of God’s love towards you. You don’t have to be consumed by what you see or feel, but rather rejoice in what you get to experience because of it. 

The goal? …to live out the Kingdom of God!! To bring us to a higher place of living!! To show us how to respond well!! To expose us to a better way!!
