Righteous Judgement

“Don’t judge.” “Only God can judge.”

Actually, judgment is a natural computing system. It allows us to collect data. We judge people and things every moment of the day. Whether it’s the friend that your child hangs with, the restaurant with the dirty floors, or the jury who reads the final verdict. So, it’s necessary.

Wild times we’re living in so judgment is critical. Inspect fruit and inspect it unapologetically🧐. Discernment is righteousness judgement, and a tool God has given us so we won’t be out here getting caught up, deceived, or simply misunderstanding. Ultimately, it begins with personal inspection. It allows us to detect what’s actually true between things that ..appear to be (1) authentic, (2) unassuming, (3) right, and (4) true. It also allows us to override our natural biased, prideful perceptions of others. Sound decision-making and compassionate restoration are its fruit. Not gossip.

Righteousness judgment requires the maturity to handle information properly. When we swing the pendulum either by choosing not to judge and dismiss things or choosing to use information as a means to stir up confusion, we are limiting our duty.

“Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” John 7:24

“Do not judge others until you are prepared to be judged by the same standard. And then, when you exercise judgment toward others, do it with humility. Matthew 7:1
