The Power of the Word

The Word of God is our superpower! No Word …no power.

We are very aware that if we don’t eat and drink natural food, we will struggle physically, and eventually die. Even when we forget and get consumed by life, our physical body will sound alarms. We also have indicators on our dashboard when our vehicle is running low on gas? In both instances, we are committed to complying with the design of both the human body and make/model of the vehicle.

Do we believe the same about our Spirit? Do we have the same commitment to compliance? Do we recognize the alarms that alert us to a malnourished spirit? Jesus said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” Matthew 4:4.

Do we believe Him?

God said, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8 …Do we believe Him?

Much like our physical body and vehicle …both have been designed to continue operating long after the initial warning. They are even designed to operate when we put fillers or imitators in the systems (i.e. candy or low grade gas). So the effects are not as obvious at first. And that’s the deception …satan wants to keep us so consumed with everything else, that we are obvious to the slow drift and thereby, don’t take the time to fill up. He wants us to consume our lives with imitations and fillers for His Word. Anything …to keep us from His Word. Anything.

I encourage you, us,

today …to take the time to fill up, daily! …to stay ahead of empty …to take God at His Word.
